Releasing Our Butterflies

 

Over the past week, the children at Hoppers Crossing Montessori Centre have been captivated by the incredible journey of the butterfly lifecycle. From tiny caterpillars to delicate chrysalises, we eagerly observed each stage, waiting for the moment of transformation.

On February 21st, our long-awaited moment arrived, our chrysalises hatched, revealing beautiful butterflies! The children were filled with excitement as they watched these delicate creatures spread their wings for the very first time.

To complete the lifecycle, we gently released our butterflies back into nature, where they could explore their new world, find food, and continue the cycle of life. It was a truly magical experience, sparking curiosity, wonder, and an appreciation for the beauty of nature.
