Celebrating Book Week: Stories Come to Life in Our Classrooms
This year, Book Week was a vibrant celebration of imagination, creativity, and the joy of reading across all our classrooms. Each room carefully selected a beloved story such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Piranhas Don’t Eat Bananas, Sailing Down the Nile, The Rainbow Fish, Aussie Animals Wheels on the Bus, and Kindness Grows and brought it to life through meaningful, hands-on projects inspired by the children’s interests.
Throughout the week, children immersed themselves in these stories, exploring characters, themes, and adventures in ways that encouraged independence and active participation. Together with their educators, they transformed the tales into reality by creating beautiful craft pieces and designing artistic displays that reflected the heart of each book.
The joy and pride on the children’s faces as they shared their creations was a wonderful reminder of how stories can spark curiosity and support holistic development. Book Week was a magical opportunity that strengthen literacy skills while celebrating the beauty of storytelling in a truly Montessori way.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity and effort shown by every classroom and look forward to continuing to nurture a lifelong love of books throughout the year.
