On Friday, August 2nd, the staff at Hoppers Crossing Montessori Centre came together for a meaningful cause, hosting a food fundraising event to support the Cancer Council. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and camaraderie as we prepared and sold a variety of delicious dishes to raise funds for cancer research and support services.
The event showcased a diverse menu, offering something for everyone. From savory dishes to sweet treats, the culinary talents of our staff were on full display. The menu included popular items such as Idly Sambhar, Mango Delight, Puran Poli, Vegetarian and Chicken Biryani, Bread Pakora, Kadi Pakora, Dabeli, and Chicken Hokkien Noodles. Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented, making it hard for attendees to choose just one!
Families, friends, and community members gathered to enjoy the homemade meals, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. It was heartwarming to see so many people come together, not only to enjoy the food but also to support such an important cause. The generosity and support shown by everyone were truly inspiring.
The success of the event was evident not only in the funds raised but also in the sense of community and solidarity that it fostered. We are proud to announce that we collected a generous donation of $1627 and all proceeds from the food sales have directly been donated to the Cancer Council, contributing to their vital work in cancer research, prevention, and support for those affected by cancer.
